Working in partnership with the Carnival Committee and Mr Jeremy Spires, Grampound with Creed Parish Council has provided a new notice board for residents.
Cllr. Peter Hardaker, Chairman of the Parish Council, said: “This is a prime example of residents working together. Thanks to a grant from Grampound Carnival Committee and to Mr Jeremy Spires, of Jago-Spires Decorators, who had the notice board made for us, for the cost of the materials only, we were able to provide a new facility for the village.”
He went on: “This was something, which residents had requested and it is a pleasure to be able to make this facility available, at minimal cost to the ratepayer.”
Grampound with Creed was recently awarded a ‘Certificate of Commendation’ in the Calor Village of the Year competition and Cllr. Hardaker said: “I feel certain that one of the reasons, the village was awarded the certificate is in recognition of how individuals and organisations all work together to provide new facilities, like this. We are all extremely grateful, both to the Carnival Committee for the grant and Jeremy for having the notice board made for us.”
