The Dolphin Dippers

The “Grampound Times Edition 44” under the headline ‘Congratulations to the Grampound Dippers’ told you of the quite incredible exploits that resulted in large sums of money being presented to charities. Unfortunately I got things slightly wrong!

ANN CURTIS has sent me an email to put things right, and it is printed below for you to see.

Dear Roger,

Just a short correction to you “Grampound Dippers” article, - first we are known as the “Dolphin Dippers” second including this last effort the amount raised for the neo-natal ward is over £5000 and the amount for each of the other charities mentioned is over £1,000 each.

We try each year to support one other British charity together with the neo-natal ward. This year we hope to support a Cornish based charity such as the MERLIN PROJECT or MOUNT EDGECOMBE hospice. Of course our success depends on the generosity of our supporters and the bravery of the “dippers”.

Yours truly,

ANN CURTIS

I am delighted to carry this item and wish the Group of “Dolphin Dippers” even greater success at Christmas 2007. (Roger – Editor)
