Pre GRAMPOUND with CREED SCHOOL PFA

I have always believed that schools are a huge part of village life and play an even more important role in bringing small communities together, this extends across all generations from toddler groups through to grandparents. In Grampound we are doubly lucky to not only have a tremendous community but a school that has recently been listed in the top three best performing primary schools in west Cornwall.

During the early part of this year I was very privileged in being voted in as the chair for the school PFA (parents & friends association). This has been a great opportunity to meet other parents in the area as well as more local residents. I also feel very blessed to have taken on this position at a time when the school is going through such great changes, completion of the school extension for one and more recently the school garden which the PFA committee members have worked tirelessly to complete, creating a fantastic new resource for the children. The school is also in the process of hoping to obtain new computer equipment for the two classes. Again the PFA are aiming to add to the total raised by the school to enable a new interactive white board to be purchased, this will again further resources and access to teaching material. We still have a way to go with fundraising and with this in mind we have planned events running up to Christmas.
