Old Photographs…….
My attention was recently drawn to an old photograph that had just previously come to light - the question being just who were the people in the picture?
The photograph was of the Grampound School Football Team in the year 1922.
Demonstrating my age I was able to name eleven of the thirteen players, but of course that was aided due to the fact that their names were shown at the foot of the photograph. The question posed to me was “Who are the other two?” and sadly I cannot say. I actually own a personal copy of this photograph and no doubt there are other copies around Grampound, so perhaps the mystery can be solved by one of you dear readers. If so please let me know. So that you know the photograph I am referring to here are the known details:

Front Row: W.Paynter, W.Juleff, G.Juleff, C.Goodman, P.Cundy
The faces of the recognised boys are as clear as the last time I saw them, unmistakable, but the other two have got me beaten.
There is a clear lesson here of course, and it is one that I have learned myself at earlier times - when you have a photograph that you intend to keep,
RECORD THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE INCLUDED !
The passage of time can play strange tricks upon one’s mind, I can testify to that!
