The Grampound Times

THE ‘GOOD NEWS’ PAGES

The 22 nd of April 2006 was a very special day in Grampound when SHARON LOUISE TULLET & ADRIAN MARTYN REYNOLDS were Married at a Service held at Creed Parish Church. The happy day was made complete when the family also celebrated the magnificent milestone of the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of Sharon’s Grandparents DOREEN and JOHN NILE of “Pachino”, Quarry Parc, Grampound.
Congratulations to all the family!!

St. Crida’s Church was again the venue for happiness on the 20 th May 2006 when TARA JANE DAVIES returned from the present family home at Tresillian to Grampound to be married to GILES RICHARD HAWKER.
Best Wishes for your future life together .

On behalf of the residents here I record a special welcome to JANET and PHILLIP RIDDLE.
We all hope that you are very happy living at Golden Manor Farm Cottage, Grampound, and that you will enjoy reading future editions of “The Grampound Times”. I realise that I am a little late with this welcome but I am a believer in the theory that late is better than never!

Many Congratulations to MISS LAURA BLAYNEY and MISS TEGAN PRICE who were Confirmed into the Church on the 26 th July 2006 at a special Service held at St. Nun’s Church by the Bishop of Truro, Bishop Bill.

The Summer Edition of “The Grampound Times” means it’s Carnival Time! And long may it remain so. The last edition as well as this one has reminded you of the very special young people who have over many years graced our Carnival as its Royalty. 2006 adds another four names to the role of honour of Grampound Carnival Royalty:
Very many Congratulations therefore to
MISS BETH WARD who will be Grampound’s Fairy Queen in our 2006 September Carnival
and MISS JADE STILL who will lead our Carnival procession this year as our 2006 Carnival Queen.

She will be supported by two Attendants - Congratulations to MISS TANNIS STEPHENS & MISS CIARA LANGTON.

Just in case you have not noticed the big red banner hanging outside of the Dolphin Inn I am pleased on your behalf to say “WELCOME TO GRAMPOUND PAUL AND SHELLEY”. I know that many of you have enjoyed the hospitality over the last few years with Nigel and Louisa, and having sampled the welcome now offered by our new hosts I do not hesitate in saying drop in, PAUL and SHELLEY will be pleased to see you!
