CARNIVAL PROCESSION - INSURANCE
Just common sense!!

After the near hysteria surrounding the subject last year you may be a little surprised to read the Carnival Notes this year which make no mention of the subject at all. Be reassured however, “ it’s just common sense” are the words used by Chairman BILL COLLINS when I spoke to him recently, and that was great to hear - sanity has returned to the situation. The situation is - as it has been in honesty for several years now - that the Carnival Committee as a highly responsible body must be sure that vehicles entered into the Carnival have adequate and proper insurance, and that any float is reasonably constructed and safe for its purpose. That is common sense!

In case like me, with no published list of Classes within the Carnival included in the Committee’s published programme, you are wondering just which class will welcome you - again accept the Chairman’s assurance - things will be the same as last year with entries accepted on the day. But it remains all our responsibilities to be certain that our insurance is proper and our float is safe!!

See you in the Carnival!
