Unfortunately we have lost Yoga after being our most longstanding regular activity since the new hall opened.  I have approached other activity leaders (including aerobics and a different Yoga group) but so far they have not established sufficient interest to fill the gap. If a regular replacement can be found I will let everyone know via the Grampound Times of course, but also through Graham and Jenny in the shop.

DRAMA ON YOUR DOORSTEP

On the run up to Easter the Hall will play host to a number of amazing and diverse drama events including the first international company to perform here, Canada’s Ghost River Theatre.

Many of those who came to see Rogue Theatre’s “Madame Lucinda’s Wonder Show” in February pronounced it the best show yet in the Hall.  Combining athletic movement with amazing musical virtuosity this company provided a fantastic evening of entertainment.  Hopefully I can secure another arrangement with them to bring their next show to us.

It is a real compliment to the facilities in the Hall that the Cornwall Youth Theatre Company want to use it as a performance base.  Their first venture with us comprises two plays with a World War 2 theme.  Hopefully this will be the first of many productions.

I am also looking forward to our first venture into Shakespeare with the Cornish company Cube Theatre and their acclaimed version of Hamlet.  Other confirmed contracts are listed below including two Miracle Theatre shows which will probably be as popular as their three previous forays with us.

As always the opportunity to agree contracts with such an array of professional companies depends upon the ability to meet the associated fees.  Put simply, if insufficient people attend then I will not be able to maintain such a frequent and wide ranging menu. So if anything here takes your fancy come along; even if you are not sure come along anyway!  You might be pleasantly surprised.
