We are a group of young people who meet to discuss and explore moral and ethical issues within a Christian context.
The group is run/facilitated by Mandy Toms and currently has 10 members aged between 11 and 15 (years 7 –11)
We meet every Wednesday between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. during term time. We also meet on the second and fourth Sunday of each month between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. to prepare a short presentation or performance. We then give this presentation to the All Age Praise Service on the first Sunday of the month at St Nunns.
We usually start each meeting with a topic to discuss and sometimes do activities or watch films relating to our discussion. Previous topics have included world poverty; slavery; trust, bullying. We are also planning some trips and are open to new ideas and activities.
This is not a Bible study group or a prayer meeting. You do not have to be a Christian or religious to join and you do not have to attend church services. You are welcome to come as little or as often as you like. All we ask is that you come with an open heart and an open mind, ready to explore issues that concern you.
We are fun, friendly and free group and welcome all young people aged between 11 and 16 years.
We could do with some adult volunteers to participate so if you feel you have something to offer please let Mandy know.
