Hello everybody,

The “Grampound Times” No. 47 is here for your pleasure, but if you are disappointed that it contains no ‘reports’ from “Grampound School PTA”, “Grampound Drama Club”, “Grampound Churches” and “Grampound Sunday Club” as I believe there is an old saying “don’t blame the messenger” - that’s me! For the first time in its 15 years lifetime the “Grampound Times has failed to meet its Easter deadline - never mind, there is a first time for everything! Nevertheless, as usual I hope you find something within to interest you.

The next edition (Summer) certainly cannot afford to be late as it will I hope contain the Carnival Week Programme, but before that it will be Carnival Day at nearby Sticker. I don’t normally enthuse over other places carnivals but I am sure you will agree that last September our Carnival was supported royally by excellent participation by Sticker folk - we owe them one! Sticker Carnival is to be held this year on the 28th June I believe. It would be nice if Grampound helped make a show for them - support them the way they did us last year.

Back to business - copy for the next “Grampound Times” will need to be with me at the latest Monday 28th July 2008.
