After long months of waiting following the retirement of the Revd. Ian Morris, our new Team Rector has been appointed. Following his Induction Service at Probus Church on the 6th March the REVD. ANDREW WADE will commence his work within our Team of Parishes. From his introductory letter to us which I have printed below, it is very clear that his wife JANE becomes an invaluable part of the Parish Team, and we can all look forward to meeting her also.
Here is a copy of ANDREW’S letter of introduction that I have borrowed from a recently published edition of the Parish “The Tower and Bellcot”…………

Dear Friends,
I am looking forward to moving in to The Sanctuary and being instituted as Team Rector on Thursday 6th March.
Some will remember me as Team Vicar from 1989-1992 living in Trencreek Close, St. Erme where the Vicarage was at that time. I was responsible for Ladock and St. Erme. Since then I have been Vicar of Constantine, a one village, one church parish. In 2000 I moved to the Ludgvan group of parishes to a newly formed benefice with 4 parishes and 4 churches coming together for the first time. From 2003-20088 I have been Rural Dean for Penwith.
I am married to JANE, who many will remember working with children in St. Erme and Ladock. At Constantine Jane went back to nursing as a Bank Staff Nurse on the children’s wards at Treliske as well as writing for Scripture Union teaching materials for 11-14’s. Jane was also involved with the church youth work, as well as running a Ladies Bible Study. At Ludgvan Jane has become a worship leader running an after school children’s service and doing all age talk at the family service. Jane is also on the Diocesan Board of Education for Church Schools and Diocesan Synod and has been the Deanery link coordinator for Children and Youth work for Penwith.
Our two sons are now grown up. BEN lives at Porthleven and works as a civilian in I.T. at Culdrose. MARK is based in Manchester working for a Christian Theatre Company performing and taking drama productions and leading workshops in primary schools.
Before being ordained I was a dairy farmer milking cows for over 10 years. I now come back to the team after nearly 16 years with experience from other parishes and situations. I am sure I am changed from the priest that left in 1992 and I have no doubt will find many things changed in the churches and communities. However Jane and I are very excited at coming back - thrilled at the possibilities and opportunities I have enjoyed meeting many of the people I will be working with and have been impressed and encouraged.
Jane and I look forward to meeting as many people as soon as possible. We plan to have an open day at the Sanctuary when we are settled in when you will be able to see the work the Diocese have done on the house and garden.
I do hope as many as possible will be able to be at the induction marking the beginning of my ministry on Thursday 6th March at Probus Church.
Your friend and Rector
ANDREW WADE
