Grampound with Creed School PFA
Christmas seems such a long time ago but I feel I really need to mention the staggering amount of money we were able to hand over to the children after their Christmas performance, in all it was £3000. Which we must not forget included that wonderful contribution made by Imerys of £500 which helped considerably.
The new Computer equipment is now being installed in the school and we now have brand new interactive white boards in all classes, a great asset to both the children and teachers.
The last 12 months seem to have flown by but on the 5 th February we held our AGM. This was a great opportunity to thank all the committee members, parents, Friends, staff and governors of the school for their tireless support and enthusiasm over the last twelve months. It was also time to say a fond farewell to one of our committee members Louise Harris, Lou has been the treasurer and committee member for some time now and she will be very much missed, A big thank you again to her for all her hard work over the years. Dean Jenkins will be taking on the role of Treasurer and we are all very pleased to have him on our committee.
It has been a really challenging and hugely rewarding time for us all. As I said at the meeting “what we have achieved with the new garden and staggering fund raising is a huge achievement for many large schools and one only undertaken over several years, but for such a small school and in such a short space of time it is completely amazing.” This coming year we have been set a whole new list of challenges. To include a separate outside play area for the reception children, along with a quiet area with tables and benches for the older children. Also on the wish list is to assist with the refurbishment of the junior toilet block. Watch this space!
