ELECTION OF BOROUGH, PARISH & TOWN COUNCILLORS
THURSDAY 3 RD MAY 2007 (7am to 10pm)

You must be on the Register of Electors to be able to vote in the elections. If you’re not registered, or have moved house since 15 th October 2006, you must apply to register by Wednesday 18 th April 2007, to be in time for the elections in May. Registration forms are available from Electoral Services or from the council website at www.restormel.gov.uk

  • If you need a postal or proxy vote, please note the following deadlines:

  • The last day for new applications to vote by post, or to change or cancel a postal or proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday 18 th April 2007.

  • The last day for new applications mto vote by proxy (except for medical emergencies) is 5pm on Wednesday 25 th April 2007.

  • The last day for new applications to vote by proxy on grounds of a medical emergency is 5pm on Thursday 3 rd May 2007.

Application forms are available from Electoral Services. All applications must reach Electoral Services by the relavent deadline. We will send out Postal votes on Friday 20 th April 2007.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a councillor can order an information Pack from Electoral Services now. Packs will be issued on 27 th March.

Candidates must submit their completed nomination papers to Electoral Services by 12 Noon on Wednesday 4 th April 2007.
