Welcome to Grampound Football Club

Grampound Football Club has been in existence for over 100 years and its home is at Grampound Recreation Ground in the centre of the village, which is itself situatedin the heart of Cornwall. The club enjoys exceptional changing facilities in Grampound Community Hall (opened 2003) in the Recreation Ground and in recent years has been running two men's teams in the Bodmin Trophies Duchy League, acknowledged as one of the best organised in the south west. The League, of which Grampound is a founder member, is made up of teams from the eastern half of Cornwall and has become so popular and successful that it has also attracted a number of clubs from West Devon into membership. As part of its development, the club has also run a boys youth team (Under-15) and a Veterans team in the season 2007-8.

The club's badge is taken from the ancient seal of Grampound, which shows a representation of Grampound's bridge (the settlement is named after the bridge – ‘Grand Pont’, Norman French for ‘Great Bridge’) and reflects our roots in the local community.

Grampound FC was awarded Charter Club status in 2006, and is now in the process of developing youth and veterans football as part of its plan for developing wider participation and facilities over the next few years. Use the links above for more information about youth and veterans football.

The Grampound FC draft Development Plan has been discussed with Cornwall County FA and it was welcomed enthusiastically. Grampound FC is committed to working in partnership with Grampound with Creed Parish Council and other local bodies in order to put into place the four main themes of its Development Plan :-

  1. To develop a high quality football club as a focus in our community
  2. To work in partnership with other community organisations to use football to promote social inclusion and community development
  3. To recruit, train and develop coaches, leaders, officials, administrators and volunteers
  4. To develop football and community facilities to permit the other parts of the vision to take place.
Grampound FC is grateful to its local sponsors:-
