| The purpose of the Grampound with Creed Heritage Project is to tell the story of the countless individuals who have made their mark on this place since ancient times and to ensure that this knowledge is recorded and passed on to future generations.The Heritage Project was established to help local people to become more aware of the history of their locality. It will ensure that this history is recorded in written, oral and pictorial form as a legacy for future generations.
The Heritage Project was initiated by the Grampound with Creed Parish Council and brought to fruition by many local volunteers. A charity, The Friends of the Grampound with Creed Heritage Project, now continues the work and raises the funds it needs. The historic Town Hall has been restored and preserved and now has renewed purpose. The Heritage Centre is in the Town Hall in Fore Street. It comprises: • An archive of research material
