It has once again been an incredibly busy term and we have had lots to celebrate as the term comes to an end. We say goodbye to our Year 6 students who will go to the Roseland, Penair or Truro School and as I write this we are finishing our production of “GREASE” to be performed at the Community Hall.
The Roseland District Athletics Championships
My name is HETTIE BAWDEN and I am 8 years old and in Year 3. I went to the Roseland Athletic Day. Four teams made it through to the relay final and we were one of them. We won the final and I also won the 80 metre Year 3 girls sprint. At first I felt very nervous but as the day went on I started to feel less nervous. I am proud that I took part because otherwise we might not have won the girls Kelly Cup. I don’t think it really matters if coming last means not getting a sticker. I think what matters is that everyone tried their best.
Delaware Outdoor Education Week
My name is WILLIAM ROWE and about 4 weeks ago me and the rest of the year 6 group went to Delaware for a week. M While we were there we did rock wall climbing on Monday, on Tuesday we did caving and I was the first one to go into the cave, then went raft building. The next day we went into the woods and made shelters. One of my friends slipped on a rock and sprained his ankle so he had to be taken to hospital. Then we went on a walk and another one of my friends slipped on a stone and sprained her ankle and had to go to hospital too. On Wednesday we did archery in the morning. It was a great week and we all enjoyed ourselves.
“Grease” Production
Class 2 performed the musical “Grease on the 18 th and 19 th July. I hope you were able to buy a ticket and come and see the great show. Of course it was not possible for everyone to do that and if you were one of the unlucky ones perhaps you could get hold of a copy of the DVD from the school.
